Basketballs signed by Michael Jordan!...Just not the Michael Jordan you’re thinking of.
A name holds a lot of value, Dunk Dot Biz sought to exploit that value by bringing in the one and only Michael Jordan, a writer from Long Island.
This project began with a message to Mr. Jordan who happily agreed to be the face of Dunk Dot Biz. We created custom MSCHF-branded basketballs and external packaging promoting Michael Jordan's newest endeavor. Armed with a box of silver markers, Michael Jordan got to work signing the basketballs for his doting fans.
Customers purchased the basketball online for $23, an homage to star basketball player Michael Jordan's number. While it wasn't explicit at the point of purchase that this was not, in fact, the signature of said basketball star, customers had some suspicion that there was a catch.
Upon receiving the basketball, customers would scan the QR code on the top of the box and be brought to a video starring our Michael Jordan, the true signatory of the basketballs.
