8-Twelve was MSCHF's first live event held in the Bowery neighborhood of NYC. The event lasted for 3 days and garnered a strong social media presence. A constant line of customers showed the success of the event.
The process of bringing 8-Twelve to life started with the massive vending machine which was the centerpiece for the exhibit. The machine only accepted $2 bills and $20 bills and dispensed custom-branded candy, chips, and spray paint.
This exhibit was MSCHF's first ever live event and proved as a test-run for future events held by the collective.
The location and branding of the exhibit not only brought people who were seeking 8-Twelve, but passers-by who thought it was a real store and entered trying to purchase every day items.
